Home | China | World | Business Chinese Vice Premier Meets German Guests MON, NOV 26, 2001     Chinese Vice Premier Wu Bangguo met here Monday with Manfred Stolpe, minister-president of Brandenburg, Germany, and his party. Wu voiced his belief that Stolpe's visit would help promote Sino-German relations and the cooperation between China and Brandenburg. Stolpe praised China for its rapid economic growth, saying China has played an increasingly important role in the world. He hoped that Brandenburg would enhance cooperation with China in the cultural, educational and scientific fields. The German guests are visiting China at the invitation of Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs.
